Hockey World Cup: Irish men benefit from women team's exploits

The Irish women's hockey really fired the imagination back home when they had a dream World Cup in August this year, storming all predictions and upsetting the applecart. They were the second-lowest ranked team in the competition at 16, and shocked everybody when they reached the title round, only to lose narrowly to the Netherlands.
